Measure with your chairs in place
Mark out a circle 38 inches across, then position your intended chairs around it. Leave room to pull each chair back and walk past someone seated. Check the 28-inch tabletop height against your seat and armrest heights; the overall table height does not tell you the clearance beneath the rim.
The central umbrella opening measures approximately 2.1 inches across. Compare that measurement with your umbrella pole, and allow space below the table for the base recommended for your umbrella. Neither an umbrella nor its base comes with this table.
